I don’t know if you’re a podcast fan or not, but one of the best podcasters around (G’Day World‘s Cameron Reilly and Mick Stanic) are auctioning the sponsorship of their upcoming podcasts up on ebay (see the auction) – and believe it or not, I’m still the leading bidder :mrgreen:

I don’t know if there’s noone else interested or if they’re all lined up to “snipe” at the end of the auction – I guess I’ll find out sooner or later (auction ends Feb-04-05 04:10:41 PST)…

New Apple Powerbook

Alrighty, so some rumours were true and some weren’t. The new Powerbooks aren’t equipped with the G5-CPU and they aren’t equipped with a dual-core G4 either (at least not yet).

What do you get? Check it out at Apple.com or Apple Germany…

Basic parameters:

  • 1.5 or 1.67GHz G4
  • 512MB Ram (finally a decent amount of ram as standard equipment!)
  • 12,1″ or 15,2″ or 17″ TFT
  • Prices starting at 1489€ (Germany) or 1499$ (US)

Ooooh…it’s freezing cold out here. Yes it’s 3:30am here and I just came back from a mate’s birthday party. It’s -12°C out there (that’s 10,3°F for all the American/Canadian Folks out there) – not the coldest I’ve seen, but definitely the coldest in a long time…

On another note: I gotta get up at 8am today, so it’s a whooping 4 hours of sleep for me :sad:

After “injuring” my right big toe last wednesday it was already a little bit blue, but at the Bottwartal-Turnier I got hit on just the same toe again (in the match against Benningen – my hometown).

So now my toe is really blue…and I don’t know why, but it hit me: it’s Dr.Greenthumb meets Mr. Bluetoe :mrgreen:

The AFC Championship seems to be already decided at half-time?! Patriots 24-3 Steelers :shock:

I guess there’s no way that Pittsburgh will come back from 3 TDs down…which gives me the chance to get some sleep (1:56am here)…

Update: So Pittsburgh came back a little after all, but they weren’t able to come back for good.

So, congrats to the Pats – AFC Champions 2004.

Indoor footie tournament

Update: I didn’t have the chance to post via my mobile phone…so here’s a quick wrap-up:

Won the first match 2-1
Won the second match 4-1 (I scored the 1-0)
Lost the remaining 5 matches, some of them due to dumb mistakes in the last seconds (you shouldn’t lose a match if you’ve got the ball and there’s only 7 seconds left on the clock).

All in all, not a bad day as we were the lowest ranked team in the tournament (usually our first team, which is playing 3 leagues above us, is playing this tournament).

Alrighty, it’s indoor footie time today. We’re playing the “Bottwartal-Turnier” today which puts all active soccer teams of the nearer surroundings up against each other. I just set up email-posting, hopefully you will have the chance to see my posts I will make during the day (via Email from my mobile phone) :mrgreen:

Alright, we were at it again. It was one of the most interesting games with an abrupt end when Ralf built “the wonder”. Nico almost could have built the wonder, me too…so it was really close and Kai almost won too due to his temple which he used to buy himself some winning points. Sixth game, first victory for Ralf, congrats :tup:

Final Standings:

  • 1. Ralf – 7 points
  • 2.! Kai – 6 points
  • 2. Ingoal – 6 points
  • 4. Jens – 3 points
  • 5. Nico – 1 point

! = Kai would have been in single second place due to a tie-breaker rule (the player with more resources left), but as I didn’t bear this in mind so far I’m not going to start now :wink:
