Update: No downtime at all, the transition was really smooth – it only took them some minutes to switch everything. So I’m online again, this time with a 2MBit line though :mrgreen:
Today (Monday May 23rd 2005) it’s finally going to happen, after waiting for 4 months my new phone-line and dsl-provider Arcor will be supplying the new lines (see my post from January 3rd)…
Hopefully everything will be alright after a smooth transition, but you never know…hopefully I’ll be back this afternoon :-)
Just came back from Cinemaxx Stuttgart. Today I finally had the chance to see Star Wars Episode III – Die Rache der Sith (or Revenge of the Sith for all the english speaking fellows).
I have to say it’s by far the best episode of the “new trilogy”! Finally the story is complete: you know how Lea & Luke were born, how Anakin turned into Darth Vader and how he got all the injuries which require him to wear his black suit and all, you see characters like Chewbacca for the first time (on his home planet Kashyyyk), etc etc
I would recommend this movie to everyone and I’m looking forward to see it again sometime soonish (probably on DVD)…

After waiting for weeks and weeks for the results of the exam from March 18th 2005 I finally got my hands on my grade: 1.3 it is :mrgreen: (for all “non-germans”: 1.0 = best, 5.0 = worst here at uni).
So the 7 weeks of preparation really payed off :tup:
This brings my grade point average to 1.67 :tup: :tup:

A name to remember. He had to qualify (!) for the event and now he’s the new Snooker World Champion and about to raise the trophy! He beat Matthew Stevens 18-16 to claim the title!

On the hottest day yet it wasn’t a high-class match, but nontheless really entertaining. After going down 0-1 we were able to come back despite missing a penalty (which would have been the equalizer at that point). In the end our opponents ran out of gas and we were able to capitalize on the extra space…it really could have been a higher victory, but you don’t hear us complain:
We’re now at the top of the table – our main competitor Dersim Ludwigsburg didn’t have a match today, nontheless the pressure is on them now…
